1. About this service

Daily Diary is a personal journalling tool that helps you capture notes, generate diary entries using AI, and reflect on your day with Lumi, your AI confidant. The service is provided free of charge.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or use the service for any purpose other than personal journalling.

3. Privacy and your data

Your notes, diary entries, and Lumi sessions are private to your account. The app is designed so that admin accounts cannot access the content of your diary entries or notes — only you can see your own content.

To generate diary entries and reflection responses, your notes are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API for processing. This processing is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy. We do not store your data with Anthropic beyond what is needed to generate a response.

We may access account metadata (e.g. account creation date, usage volume) for the purpose of operating and maintaining the service, but we cannot access the content of your diary entries or notes.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this service to store or generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others. We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

5. Service availability and account termination

We provide this service on a best-effort basis. We may discontinue, modify, or restrict access to the service at any time. If we decide to wind down the service, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

We reserve the right to delete accounts at our discretion, including if the service is discontinued, or if an account is found to be in breach of these terms.

6. No warranties

This service is provided “as is” without any warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of data, loss of access, or any other damages arising from your use of the service. Please keep your own backups of any diary content you wish to preserve.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
